A journey — with love and togetherness through coma and a minimally conscious state, and finally as a family of three. Here you can find photos and videos from our shared path.
After a severe car accident involving my wife, who was in her 7th week of pregnancy, our lives changed overnight. She spent many weeks in an induced coma; her life hung by a thread for months. There were neurosurgeries and then a minimally conscious/vegetative state.
Despite all risks, I decided to continue the pregnancy. Many weeks too early, while my wife was still in a minimally conscious state, our daughter was born healthy.
And it didn’t stop with that miracle — it was only the beginning. My wife fought her way back from the minimally conscious state, learned to speak again, and step by step returned to life.
Our story shows that hope can be stronger than any prognosis. This book is about love, family, and the courage not to give up in the darkest moments.
